Deloitte, on August 24th, revealed its partnership with academic institutions through the AI Academy, aiming to invest in professional training and upskilling. This initiative by the Deloitte AI Academy is an extension that seeks to offer tailored Generative AI training to both its professionals and clients. The objective is to enhance the skills of early career professionals, preparing them for practical AI and data science projects. The program aims to train around 10,000 Deloitte practitioners and is collaborating with prominent universities and tech institutes in India and the U.S., including Virginia Tech and the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
Through these partnerships, learners in the Academy will gain access to distinguished AI faculty, research insights, innovative concepts, hands-on exercises, intellectual property, as well as industry expertise from Deloitte. The range of courses caters to professionals at all levels, covering fundamental Generative AI knowledge and more advanced technical skills such as advanced prompt engineering techniques and fine-tuning.
Furthermore, the initiative includes advanced certifications for technical professionals, developed in collaboration with technology companies, focusing on cutting-edge data and technologies. As an example, Deloitte is offering education in Generative AI and other accelerated technologies through specialized courses developed by Nvidia Training.
For those interested, detailed information about the program can be found on the Deloitte AI Academy website. Mike Luk, Managing Director and US AI Academy Dean of Deloitte Consulting LLP, commented on the expansion, stating that the rise in popularity of Generative AI has created a demand for skills in this field. He mentioned that apart from theoretical knowledge, the initiative emphasizes practical experience to enable practitioners to comprehend the context, applications, and impact of AI.
This expansion is delivered through the Deloitte Technology Academy, which is a part of Deloitte’s $1.4 billion investment, known as Project 120, dedicated to learning and development.
