Tweeted. Honor pulled out of the Indian smartphone market after India banned Huawei devices amid ongoing tensions between India and China. Honor continued to sell devices such as tablets, accessories and laptops, but the company recently pulled out of the country’s smartphone business.
Huawei sold Honor to Shenzhen Zhixin Information Technology Co., Ltd. in 2020. Since then, it has operated in multiple markets as an independent technology company. In India, PSAV Global has reportedly obtained a license to sell some Honor products and the same company has been granted the rights to sell Honor smartphones in India. According to reports, the company will announce the Honor 90, a mid-range device powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, as its comeback smartphone in August or September. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED screen, a triple-camera setup with a 200MP camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and the phone is powered by Android 13 with custom MagicOS 7.1. The company is expected to make an official announcement on this in the next few days.
