The Samsung W23 series, introduced in China in October last year, has subtle differences from the Galaxy Z Fold 4 lineup.
Samsung officially announced its W series launch event in China for September 15, with the announcement made on September 1. While they haven’t disclosed specific details yet, it is expected that the event will showcase the Samsung W24 and Samsung W24 Flip.
These new models are expected to replace the Samsung W23 and Samsung W23 Flip, respectively. Notably, it is likely that the upcoming handsets will be customized versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. It is expected that the Chinese variants will strongly resemble their Indian counterparts, potentially incorporating some hardware-level adjustments.
The Samsung W series unveiling ceremony is set to occur on September 15. This launch event is slated to be held in China at the Chengdu High and New Sports Center, as indicated by a teaser poster shared by the company on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform.
The Samsung W24 and W24 Flip, set for an upcoming launch, are rebranded versions of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
These devices are intended exclusively for the Chinese market and won’t have a global release, unlike the Samsung W23 and W23 Flip from the previous year.
Chinese versions of these foldable phones usually have upgraded specs and a customized design reflecting a China-specific theme.
